Leather shoes for sweater weather

While it’s been unseasonably warm lately, eventually the temperatures are bound to drop. Enter sweater weather.

Sweater weather describes that perfect time in autumn where it’s chilly and layering is necessary, but you don’t have to start breaking out the heavy winter coats and parkas that swallow you whole. Silly name aside, sweater weather does feel amazing.

To celebrate the return of sweater weather, we figured we give a taste of some of our favorite leather shoes that go great with your light layers.

The Newman Chukka Boot - Oxblood

Rich color, cool shape, versatile… there’s a lot to love about our Chukka. These hand painted Italian shoes especially look good when you’re going casual. Think black chinos, a chambray shirt, and your favorite cardigan with a knit beanie.

The Van Damme Belgian Loafer – Chestnut

Suede and sweater weather go together like hot and toddy. Slip on these with a pair of warm and stylish socks next time you’re dressing down your favorite subtle blue suit.

The Stewart Penny Loafer – Midnight Blue

I’ll go ahead and say it: navy is seriously underrated. It’s rich yet neutral, dark and cool. I love the idea of making navy the unexpected dominant color of the outfit. Sure, you’re starting with some tan chinos and a brown belt, but combine these navy loafers, a blue gingham button down, and a cozy navy pullover. Even though the look is understated, don’t be surprised if you get a few compliments.

The Dean Chelsea Boot – Nero

The quintessential cool boot, the Chelsea in black is a great way to keep your feet warm while showing off your bolder side. Stay warm but cool with a look ripped straight from a Godard film. Layer on a black and white sailor sweater with your favorite slim, tan chinos and you’ve got a balanced look that’s easy to pull off.

The Olivier Single Monk Strap – Marrone

We see guys in London rocking the Monk Strap, but it hasn’t quite gotten to the masses over here yet. Be ahead of the curve by incorporating this style into your everyday looks. Elevate khakis and a fisherman’s sweater or be on trend with a pair of dark wash jeans and a blazer. Our brown monk straps are easy to pair; you might be surprised how easy it is to incorporate them into your wardrobe.

The McQueen Driving Shoe – Marrone

We had to include our driving moccasins in the list because this is probably the last chance you’ll get to wear them before the bitter cold of winter necessitates something with more substance. Enjoy the last warmer days with these Italian shoes, you favorite jeans cuffed, and your warmest flannel over a plain tee. Sounds perfect to us.
