Can you help me with sizing?

The quickest and easiest way to figure out our sizing is to read the description section on each product page where we provide sizing instructions. Please read carefully! If you need help, don't hesitate to email support@paulevansny.com by clicking here or calling us at 800.280.1725. Kindly refrain from calling at odd hours and note we are in EST timezone.

Generally speaking, our dress shoes run a FULL SIZE LARGE from your regular US dress shoe size, so make sure to order one full size below what you normally would in a dress shoe.

For example, if your normally wear a US 9 dress shoe in *gasp* Allen Edmonds, you should order a size 8 in Paul Evans. And remember, your dress shoe size is generally half size to one full size smaller than your athletic shoe size.

Why do your dress shoes run large?

Most Italian dress shoes run larger than traditional US/UK sizing. Not to mention each pair of feet is unique! Do you wear the same shoe size in all your shoes? Of course not, so please excuse the quick and easy sizing adjustment necessary to wear our shoes. After all, it's just a number!

Do you make wide width shoes (sizes E, EE, EEE)?

We do not currently make wide shoes, however we do have many satisfied wide-feet customers. If you have wide feet, there's a very high probability you can fit into our shoes!

Simply adjust a half to full size up from our recommended shoe sizing adjustments to accommodate for extra width. For those who wear E-width shoes, a half size up should do it. For EE and above, try a full size.

For example, if our sizing instructions recommend adjusting a full size down for D-width sizes, an E-width size would simply adjust a half size down. See? That was easy!

And don't forget your local cobbler can stretch out your shoes for you. If you need help, please reach out to us here.

How do I make an exchange or return?

We make exchanging and returning hassle free! Need a different size or want to try another color or style? No problem! Just shoot us an email here with your 4-digital order number and tell us which product you'd like to exchange or return. Use the prepaid return label included in the plastic sleeve affixed to the shipping box to return your original order.

NOTE: All returns and exchanges must be sent back in unworn condition and include all original shoe box contents, including shoe horn, shoe bag, plastic sleeves and tissue paper. Please read more about our 365-day return and exchange policy here.

Where can I find the prepaid return label?

All domestic orders are shipped with a prepaid return label included in the plastic sleeve affixed to the outside of the shipping box. International orders are eligible for returns but the cost of return is the responsibility of the customer. Please ship returns to:

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we offer FREE Fedex international shipping on all shoe orders. We've successfully shipped into over 30 countries around the world!

NOTE: The government of Mexico has banned shoe imports from the United States. We are therefore unable to ship directly into Mexico. Please use the services of World Wide Parcel to receive your package.

What is a pre-order?

If an item is sold out, we may choose to make it available for a pre-order, designated by the PRE-ORDER button on the product page. After completing the purchase process online, we'll confirm via email that you are aware the item is out of stock and that you placed a pre-order.

A pre-order requires upfront payment in order to be placed on our pre-order list. As soon as your order arrives at our distribution center, we will quickly ship your order prior to making our the products available to the general public. We highly recommend pre-orders as it is the best way to obtain our shoes.

Generally pre-orders are fulfilled in 3 - 5 months, depending on which shoe style you order and if we will have future availability. Due to demand, we cannot guarantee fulfillment of pre-orders from the most immediate shoe shipment we will be receiving.

We highly recommend placing a pre-order if an item is sold out. This is the best way to get our shoes. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to build out our inventory!

NOTE: Pre-orders are subject to delays due to the handcrafted nature of high-quality handmade Italian leather goods and must be paid for in advance in order to be placed on the pre-order list.

Where are your shoes made?

Our shoes are made in Naples, Italy in a factory that has been owned by a single family for generations. They are skilled artisans, well trained in the art of fine Italian footwear. A dedicated team with centuries of collective experience delicately handcraft our shoes using the finest Italian calfskin leathers.

How are your shoes constructed?

Our collection is made using the traditional Italian technique of Blake stitching. This type of construction dominates Italian-made shoes because the end product is a light, flexible and sleek-profile shoe. Both Goodyear Welt and Blake construction techniques are signs of quality and will ensure a lifetime of wear provided the shoes are maintained and resoled as needed.

What type of leather do you use?

Our shoes are made using the finest Italian calfskin and suede leather uppers. Using high-quality leather ensures your shoes will become more attractive as they age, provided the shoes are polished and properly maintained. Treat your shoes to a weekly polishing!

Do you run sales?

Never. We are a direct-to-consumer business, so our product is already priced at a 60% discount to similar quality products found in retail locations. By eliminating the middle man, we've saved customers the typical 2.5x retail markup. Learn more about our business model here.

How should I take care of my shoes?

Please refer to our Shoe Care 101 article to learn about proper shoe care.

Do you wholesale?

Nope. Our entire business model is predicated upon removing the middleman.

Do you ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses?

Yes, we ship to domestic P.O. boxes and APO/FPO addresses via USPS. We have had such a terrible experience with USPS international that we will only ship abroad via our FREE Fedex international shipping. So take advantage of our world-class shipping option and find an alternative address.

Can I pay in monthly installments?

You can obtain financing as low as 0% per month and pay in monthly installments via Affirm, a third-party consumer financing company. Simply select "Affirm" at checkout to apply for installment payments.

NOTE: We are not affiliated with Affirm. Please refer to their FAQs for additional information.
