I popped my Paul Evans cherry the right way - with Poitier. I had to have it, and so I have.
I quite liked how it was boxed and appreciated the shoe horn and sack that it shipped inside with. It also passed the smelling test with flying colors (like some creep you must always sniff up new leather shoes right out the box - it is mandatory). These Double Monk Straps have fast become my favorite. And I mean THE favorites. First thing you notice is how you get a shine that just slaps you on the face and back, yet manages to maintain this sweet genuine look to the leather. I felt weird because I thought I had to polish them yet there was no need. I mean it's just as the pictures show (still, don't you dare neglect its maintenance like some heathen. Worship it). I knew right away I was dealing with the real deal here.
Anyway, the color I ordered is the Nero version because it is hands down the most versatile dress shoes you can own. So long as you wear something that reaches down to your cankles, you are good to go. Dress pants, YES; Jeans, hello there; Chinos, go for it; Pajamas, why the hell not. But it is important to mention it's really worth buying but so long as you take care of them and not do something dumb like go somewhere crowded/full of rocks because as you would expect they are sensitive.…Loading...
